Regional Gymnastics Championships (05/23/2014 - 05/25/2014)
Wildwoods Convention Center. The United States Association of Independent Gymnastics Clubs will hold a regional gymnastics championship featuring competitions on the floor, balance beam, uneven bars and vault. The competitions will be choreographed to music and prizes will be awarded. Times TBD. Admission fee.

Unlocking of the Ocean Media Day Event (05/23/2014)
It's time to get your feet sandy! Come join us to officially start the summer season at 12 noon at Andrews Avenue and the beach, next to the Wildwoods Convention Center. A large, ornate key will be used to 'unlock' the ocean, along with guest speakers and kites in the air. A 'Stronger Than The Storm' ribbon cutting event will also take place, which will represent that the Jersey Shore and the Wildwoods are ready and open for business, despite Hurricane Sandy. This event is FREE to attend. 

Wildwoods International Kite Festival (05/23/2014 - 05/26/2014)
The largest kite festival in North America taking place on the Beach at Rio Grande Avenue in Wildwood and inside the Wildwoods Convention Center featuring kite makers from around the world flying their most incredible colorful creations. Event begins on Friday at 12 noon with the 'Unlocking of the Ocean' media event on the beach behind the Wildwoods Convention Center. Festivities continue with the opening of the Festival Field Tent and the 9 p.m. illuminated kite fly at Rio Grande Ave. and the beach. Saturday and Sunday include the East Coast Stunt Kite Championships on the beach starting at 9 a.m. daily, as well as kite exhibits and workshops. A Kite Festival Auction will be held in the Wildwoods Convention Center at 7 p.m. on Saturday night and is open to the public - many unique kites and collectibles will be auctioned off. Monday will feature the World Indoor Kite Competition from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. inside the Wildwoods Convention Center where kite fliers will showcase their impressive ability to fly a kite without wind. FREE to spectators!.

Boardwalk Craft Shows ( 05/24/2014 )
The Boardwalk at Rio Grande Avenue, rain or shine. All handmade products. 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Free. 

Candle Light Vigil to Honor our Veterans  (05/24/2014)
To honor our active, fallen and stateside troops and veterans, all are invited to a candle light vigil at the Wildwood Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall at 8 p.m. located on Ocean Avenue directly across from the Wildwoods Convention Center. Hosted by the Vietnam Veterans Chapter 955 and the American Legion Post #184. A motorcycle procession will also be a part of this ceremony. Anyone interested in riding should meet in the lot behind the Rio Station in Rio Grande (next to the WaWa) by 7:00 p.m. The motorcycles will depart for Wildwood at 7:15 p.m..

Wildwood Crest Summer Kickoff Concert (05/25/2014)
Centennial Park, Fern Road and Ocean Avenue in Wildwood Crest at 7:30 p.m. FREE outdoor all-ages concert. Entertainment TBD. Bring a blanket or beach chair.

North Wildwood Memorial Day Ceremony  (05/26/2014)

Memorial Day Ceremony at the North Wildwood Veterans Monument, Spruce & New York Avenues, in North Wildwood. 10 a.m. Hosted by VFW Post 5941. There will also be a service earlier that morning at 9:30 a.m. at the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse flagpole where the names of the VFW Post 5941 members who have deceased since last Memorial Day will be read and their service honored.

Wildwood Memorial Day Ceremony (05/26/2014)

Memorial Day Ceremonies at the Wildwood American Legion Post #184, 4200 Atlantic Ave. in Wildwood at 11 a.m. featuring speakers, recognition of deceased comrades, firing squad, "Taps" and wreath laying ceremonies at the Post, the Memorial Walk, and at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall. Police Explorers will also lay a wreath in the ocean along with Wildwood's Beach Patrol behind the Wildwoods Convention Center. Hosted by the Vietnam Veterans Chapter 955 and the American Legion Post #184.
